 Chilcotin Mountain
Overview
The 4-Season wilderness guest ranch located in the sunny south Chilcotin Mountains Park, 4 1/2 hours north of Vancouver and 2 hours north from Whistler. Riding a snowmobile is unique to Canada. Riding the Mountain-Tops is unique to the Chilcotin Mountains. The snowmobile adventures include over 500 km of old mining and logging roads. Options for daily rides include hill climbing, trail touring on packed trails, or riding the powder. If you have experience, you'll prefer to head for the high alpine and the glaciers, where you can ride the mountain tops during March and April. The settled snow conditions and warmer days make this an ideal winter playground with miles of untracked alpine. At the end of the day, you'll return to our warm and spacious ranch, relax in front of a fireplace after a home-cooked meal and relive the adventure. You also have the opportunity to base yourself out of our remote alpine mountain hut where the open alpine beckons. Ride miles of deep powder then drop into your rustic mountain top hut for lunch (includes snowmobile).

Accommodation
The spacious ranch lodge is completed with two-storey fireplace, sun room, large central dining room, and a large outdorr deck facing the rugged Coastal mountains, and queen beds with feather duvets. The atmosphere is similar to that of a large family home. The 8 guest bedrooms have a varied combination of of sleeping arrangements (i.e queen, bunk, twin), along with 4 shared bathrooms. The Alpine camps vary between fully equipped permanent base camps and seasonal camps. The permanent camps include different combinations of log cabins and/or tent cabins for eating and sleeping.

The licensed guide outfitter conducts wilderness adventures throughout 5,000 square km. It encompasses the new South Chilcotin Mountains park and the surrounding ranges of South Western BC. Located on the lee side of the Coast Mountains, the South Chilcotins lie within a transition zaone between the Coast Mountains and the Chilcotin Plateau. This favored position produces a rainshadow, and this means a sunny sky and dry climate. The area is renowned for its bio-diversity, with vegetation ranging from Douglas Fir to Alpine Tundra. An outstaning variety of wildlife inhabits our guide area. California Bighorn Sheep, Mountain Goat, Grizzlies, Moose, Mule Deer, Black Bear, and Wolf are plentiful and frequently sightes.

Meals
All meals are included. You'll find it hard to beleive that you are in the wilderness when you are dining on our legendary western fare. Satisfy your newfound appetite on unlimited fresh fruit and vegetables, lots of home made baking, and delicious and hearty main courses. Guests frequently take our recipes home. Some favorites include candied salmon, barbecued ribs, tomatoe salad with balsamic and olive oil dressing, chick pea and spinach salad, oatmeal cookies and butter tart squares.
