Overview
The Lodge and Cattle Ranch is a great place to visit, in every season you can search for pure nature and Canadian wilderness, an incredible view of forests, water and mountains. Located two hours or 125 km southwest of Williams Lake in the Southern Chilcotin Plateau, the lodge enjoys a 4 star Canada Select Rating. To the north of the Ranch lies the small community of Big Creek with a population of 50 or so people. In all other directions the land is still untouched, and it stretches out forever. There are no cities or towns from Big Creek to the coast, so the clean Pacific air flows through. Together with the surrounding wilderness the lodge is something really special for people of every age. Choose from the different and exciting winter activities, like trail riding, snowmobile tours, snowshoeing and cross country skiing.
In the wintertime there is nothing like snowmobiling. The wilderness trails offer as much or as little challenge and excitement as you want. Rent a snowmobile at the Lodge, and we will guide you through an area you have never seen before. On rainy days, or when ever you like, you are free to visit our Game Room. There is a pool table, several other game tables, a Play Station with a lots of disks and some body trainers. In one corner you find a table for playing cards with your friends.
Accommodation
The lodge was built from white cedar, which is Canadian tradition. All cabins and most of the lodge's rooms have balcony or porch. Just a small step thru the big glass doors, which are almost in every room, and you can see more than a million hectare of mountains and wilderness. The lodge accommodates ten guests in five very comfortable rooms. All rooms have a cozy interior, floor heating, and a private bathroom with a hot shower. There is a roomy lounge and a dining area warmed by a massive stone fireplace. The cabins are nestled among the trees lining the Big Creek, giving you a feeling of remoteness and comfort at the same time. There are two bedrooms for 4 guests or a family with kids, as well as a private bathroom and a well equipped living room in every cabin. From the porches of the cabins, where comfortable seats surround a massive table, you overlook the creek and the breathtaking wilderness. Our home-style country kitchen serves you breakfast, lunch and dinner in a relaxed atmosphere. Hearty lunches are packed for trail rides, snowmobile tours and other activities of your choice.
