After departing Calgary we enter Banff National Park - the oldest National Park in Canada and stopover at Lake Minnewanka for a great view. We may see bighorn sheeps on the frozen lake. We will visit the geological wonders of the Hoodoo’s with great views of the Bow Valley, Tunnel Mountain Summit - viewpoint trail along the Bow River to the Suprrise Corner with view of Bow River Falls and Banff Spring Hotel. A stop at the Cave and Basin National Historic Site of Canada commemorates the birthplace of Canada's National Park system. Optioanl adventure drive on Cable car excursion (Gondola) on Sulphur Mountain. (Admission not included). Spend 1 hour in Banff downtown for shopping or lunch. We continue on the Bow Valley Parkway - a scenic, relaxing drive to Lake Louise. We stop at the Chateau Lake Louise with Victoria Glacier in the background. We start our informative city tour from the Calgary Tower with a spectacular view of Calgary, Canadian Rocky Mountains and Prairies. Driving through the streets of Calgary we view the City Hall, Olympic Plaza and Fort Calgary Historic Park where Calgary was born. We continue through Chinatown, Eau Claire Market Mall, Stephen Avenue and Devonian Gardens - Alberta’s biggest indoor garden.
