Overview
Nestled in the Rocky Mountain Trench, Valemount lies at the meeting of three mountain ranges: the Monashees, the Cariboos and the Rockies, an area known for its light dry powder snow. We have approximately 1,500 square kilometers available of the finest heliskiing. You can expect to ski a variety of snow conditions ranging from deep powder to settled hard-packed, from snow-crusted by the kiss of the sun to that excellent spring snow that turns to "corn".
The maximum group size is only 9 skiers to one guide for daily heliskiing. By keeping our groups small, we can better match ski ability within the group and offer you maximum attention and instruction from your guide. You don't get lost in the crowd and you can concentrate on what you came for: heliskiing!
Guides
The most important people at our organization are our Heliski Guides. Chosen for both their outdoor leadership ability as well as their personalities, they are your hosts, your instructors and your leaders while you ski. The guides have years of pratical experience as well as recognized certification in either the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides or its European equivalent, the U.I.A.G.M. They have training in remote mountain skiing, avalanche forecasting and safety, snow quality evaluation, first aid and emergency rescue.
Ski Ability Rating
You don't have to to be an extreme skier. We cater to first-time heli-skiers and will select runs best suited to the ability of your group. If you are a strong intermediate or an advanced skier, you can heli-ski!! Snowboarders are welcome but, for your own enjoyment, it best you come as a group.
